Every large purchase I make, I open a 0% interest for 1 year credit card. Will this hurt my credit score?
I pay each one off over the course of a year with no interest. Once the interest starts, the balance is already paid, and I never use the card again. Next large purchase I make, I open a new one do the process over again. Does this affect my credit score? Only answers, no advice please.
Opening new cards hurts your score somewhat. However, each time you get a new credit card your overall available credit increases. Therefore over time, if you have many open cards that you are not using and a large amount of available credit this will help your score.
